Montana Grizzlies Homecoming: Good Times

It has been close to two years since I have been back to Grizzly Country (Missoula,Montana) and to be honest with you, I kind of missed my extended Montana family. Every time we get together, it seems like I was never gone. That's one of those unique feelings you can only have in special places and with special people. The laid back environment always lends itself to a great and amazing time. A-Train (far right), Christmas Shopping (second from right) and I usually start out the weekend at the Ironhouse and we stayed true to the tradition this time around. Sloan (far left) slipped into that picture some kind of way. LOL!!!!

I must warn everyone that this was before we all had double shots of Patron and that is the reason why we did not look "too F'd-up". However, even with the Patron shots, Friday turned out to be a good night.

I woke up at about 2:00 pm on Saturday with a huge hangover. It was quite the sight so I decided not to post any pictures of that. I had to protect myself but needless to say, I was not smiling and neither was the hotel housekeeper. Anyhow, Saturday was the Montana Grizzly Football Game which I did not attend because I did not want to pay 60 dollars for a ticket. Yes, I am cheap. Anyhow, I watched the game on the screen at the Mall. It was a good game and the grizzlies won 35-23. Here is a slight recap of the game:

Marc Mariani caught six passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns and Chase Reynolds rushed for 109 yards and scored three times as Montana rallied past Cal Poly 35-23 Saturday.

Mariani scored on pass plays of 84 and 68 yards to help the Grizzlies overcome five turnovers and remain undefeated (5-0).Jordan Yocum rushed for 119 yards and scored on a 1-yard run to give the Mustangs (2-3) a 17-7 lead with 1:09 remaining before halftime.Reynolds found the end zone twice in the fourth quarter when Montana scored 21 points to overcome a 17-14 deficit. He added another 44 yards on two receptions, both of which went for touchdowns.

As Saturday night approached, my stomach seemed to not be cooperating so my drinking actually was non-existent for the rest of the trip. HOWEVER, I did get to hang out with The BirdMan and watch him do a few Taylor Sneaks and that was entertaining as hell!!!!!!!

I know this is a pretty dark picture but this is all I could muster up from my phone. Saturday was a good night and I felt much better Sunday morning because of the absence of a hangover. On Sunday, I stuck to my second tradition and went to T-Bone aka Tyler Hill (far right in picture below) for dinner and we had a curry chicken dish and rolls. The food was excellent and it was great hanging out with him and his family. Actually, I sort of kinda consider them my extended family.  The resemblance is striking.............. Isn't it?

Anyhow, I headed out on Monday morning and proceeded to head back to Spokane, Washington to catch my flight back to Orlando. As you can see, I have to drive through the mountains to get back to Spokane. I enjoyed my visit to Grizzly Country.

ROY PIERCE AKA RIP PIECE

#13 Penn State at Michigan (it’s in Ann Arbor; Rich Rod should continue Lloyd Carrs dominance over PSU)
#6 Iowa at Michigan State (I stated weeks ago that Iowa would lose to one of the Michigan teams, I’m a stubborn old man and I’m sticking to my word and picking MSU for the upset, which can easily do if offense is clicking consistently)
Oklahoma at #25 Kansas (Classic Big 12 south vs north… with south being stronger)
#8 TCU at #16 BYU (home field advantage)
South Florida at #20 Pittsburgh (thinking South Florida rebounds; so I might change this one.)
FSU
Arkansas

Oregon
UNLV
Utah State (They’ve had a tougher schedule compared to Louisiana Tech)

I almost picked the North Carolina FSU game… I told u on the air in episode 3 I believe that UNC was not going to be ranked long.

AB's Oaktown Beatdown: I DON'T KNOW............. BUT

THE REALIST WROTE:

I really thought Oakland was headed in the right direction but as quick as things looked good in Week 1, they have began to explode the following weeks. Man, Russell and the receivers look lost now especially with 6+ dropped passes last week against Houston. They are not competing on defense and the running game is pathetic now. WHAT HAPPENED? They look like the photo below:

AB'S OAKTOWN BEATDOWN WROTE:

I'll let you know when I find out............................................................................................

but just to be safe, don't hold your breath.......................................................................................
